Concern raised by stakeholder on recent oil palm development which may violate our NDPE Policy.
On 9.9.2020, FEHB’s representative together with a few stakeholders had a discussion with LCSB (LKPP Corporation Sdn. Bhd.) and PKPP Plantation Sdn. Bhd. (PKPP) to acquire detail information on the disputed project.
Following issued had been highlighted and deliberated:-
(a) NDPE Policy,
(b) Palm oil supply chain,
(c) Market requirements,
(d) Recovery plans proposed.
PKPP & LCSB were requested to commit on the following:-
(a) NDPE Policy,
(b) Immediate moratorium of new land development,
(c) Recovery plan.
The briefing session at PKPP Group level was held on 24.9.2020 attended by PKPP’s various Head of Department and Mr Chin Kai Xiang of Bunge Loders Croklaan.
We were informed that Management of PKPP had brought the issues as highlighted in the Mighty Earth Report and NDPE Policy to their Board on 10.11.2020 and the Board of PKPP agreed the adoption of NDPE Policy effective 1.1.2021.
PKPP had also implemented moratorium on new land development and decided to reserve their land bank for recovery plan.
PKPP had verbally informed that they had identified two (2) lands for the recovery plan:-
1. The mineral soil land which is located in Batu Yon, Kuala Lipis covering 426 hectares (PN20559 Lot 34540) with mineral soil with on mineral soil.
2. The peat land which is located in Pekan, Pahang covering 103 hectares (PN28017 Lot 20306).

||Bunge Loders Croklaan
Concern raised by stakeholder on recent oil palm development which may violate our NDPE Policy. On 3.6.2020, we had required details from ASPA on the disputed project.
Engagement meeting with ASPA’s representatives was held on 18.8.2020 and we were informed that ASPA had adopted the NDPE Policy on 9.7.2020. Based on the discussion done, ASPA had agreed to immediate moratorium on the new land development and also agreed to publish the relevant information in ASPA’s website.
On 7.9.2020, another Engagement meeting was held and attended by representatives of the following parties:-
YP Plantation Holdings Sdn. Bhd.,
Mentiga Corporation Berhad,
Prosper Group and its stakeholders.
Prosper Group had briefed all parties on their recovery plan and introduced their recovery project partner i.e. Global Environment Centre (“GEC”) which then deliberated on a few possibilities options for recovery plan.
From the session held, positive feedbacks had been obtained from all parties and follow up meeting with GEC will be held at a later date.
